SILOBAY D Capsule is a combination medication that contains two active ingredients: Silodosin and Dutasteride. Silodosin is an alpha-blocker that works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and the bladder neck. This relaxation improves urine flow and reduces the symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH).
Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor that reduces the production of a hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which contributes to the growth of the prostate gland. By inhibiting DHT production, Dutasteride helps shrink the prostate and relieve BPH symptoms.
