Montebay-L Tablet is a combination medication that contains two active ingredients:
1. Montelukast (10 mg): Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist. It works by blocking the action of leukotrienes, which are inflammatory substances that play a role in various allergic reactions. By inhibiting leukotrienes, Montelukast helps reduce symptoms of asthma and allergic rhinitis.
2. Levocetirizine (5 mg): Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that blocks the action of histamine, a chemical produced by the body during allergic reactions. By inhibiting histamine, Levocetirizine helps relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, and itchy or watery eyes.
